Location is great. Nice easy trail thru maritime forest and marshes just outside campground from small boat launch. Campground is open, pretty but no privacy. Bathhouse is nice. Close to Swansboro and Emerald Isle. No water at campsites.
Stayed there over the weekend. Will definitely go back. Very friendly and helpful people there. Had my 12yr old neice with me and even though I wouldn't let her ride the horses she had a great time on her first camping trip. To all the staff and new friends I met there, THANK YOU and see you next year
Enjoyed the campground. It was very clean and everyone was friendly. We went in the fall so no issues finding a camp site.
Was very disappointing in the campground this time. The bathrooms were filthy and my husband actually had a leach get on his leg in the shower. No paper in the bathrooms for 4 days. Host not seen and co-host looks like trailor trash. Had up the "CAMPGROUND FULL" when it wasn't after our first night there. Very disappointed in a Campground that I always thought was outstanding.
Have camped here several times now and it is a great place to go. Several hiking trails nearby and blazed canoe trails also.
